Approximately one hour later, a witness dialed 911 to report that a woman had been thrown out of a truck near the entrance to Cedar Cove RV Park, along State Highway 195, north of Elephant Butte.
The woman sustained injuries that required her to be transported to Sierra Vista Hospital via ambulance.
Law enforcement, armed with information regarding the truck’s description, searched for the vehicle, however, information regarding the truck was not released.
Due to the extended holiday weekend, further information regarding this situation was not available as of The Herald’s press deadline.
