Enjoy lively acoustic music at the Hillsboro Community Center on Sunday, Oct. 19, from an all-star band of faculty, fresh from the Desert Night Acoustic Music Camp. Joining the acclaimed Hard Road Trio (Steve Smith on mandolin, Christine Sanders on guitar and Anne Luna on bass) will be multi-instrumentalist Ezra Bussmann on fiddle and dobro, and banjo virtuoso Tom Adler, plus special guests from the DNA Music Camp.
The concert, which commences at 4 p.m., will be the culmination of a weekend of instruction, inspiration and music-making at the Black Range Lodge in Kingston. The five aforementioned musicians will be teaching guitar, mandolin, fiddle, bass and banjo. Stringed instrument students of all abilities will also learn and practice vocal performance and songwriting.
At the DNA Music Camp concert expect original and traditional music, string band serenades, masterful instrumentals, and a great variety of danceable tunes for your enjoyment.
The Hillsboro Community Center (HCC) is located on Elenora Street in Hillsboro next to the Union Church on the south hill overlooking the town. The HCC schedules a concert monthly.
