Moose Youth Awareness Congress Announced

Jim Brannon, New Mexico Youth Awareness Chairman for the AZ/NM Moose Association, recently spoke to approximately 140 Hot Springs High School juniors and seniors about the upcoming youth awareness congress to be held Saturday, Dec. 6, at the Truth or Consequences Moose Lodge.

This Moose Scholarship Program allows students to compete for five scholarship awards from $2,000 to $12,000. The winner from New Mexico will receive an all expense paid trip to Orlando, Fla., in May 2015 to compete in the International Competition.

The New Mexico winner will also receive a $1,000 scholarship from the AZ/NM Moose Association. There is no charge to participate, and all high school students are invited to attend the congress starting at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 6, at the Moose Lodge.

Lunch will be provided by the Moose Lodge and at the Congress, students will learn details about anticipating in the program and given ideas by various presenters.
