Turner Announces the Grand Opening of ‘The Restaurant at Sierra Grande’

Philanthropist, environmentalist and media mogul Ted Turner is proud to announce the grand opening of The Restaurant at Sierra Grande, located at the Sierra Grande Lodge & Spa, in January 2015. Purchased by Turner in 2013, Sierra Grande Lodge & Spa is known for its healing hot springs, luxurious accommodations, rustic charm and tranquil spa experiences.

The Restaurant at Sierra Grande will be run by internationally-known and award-winning chef, Tatsu Miyazaki, owner of several restaurants and catering companies in Las Cruces. Chef Tatsu will offer the latest restaurant concepts and catering, highlighting seasonal, contemporary American dishes with southwestern fare and global influence.

“We are eager to expand upon Sierra Grande’s offerings with the opening of this new restaurant in January,” said Ted Turner. “We have the utmost confidence in Chef Tatsu and his team, and we are excited to see this concept come to fruition.”

Beginning in 2015, Sierra Grande Lodge & Spa will begin offering nature, adventure and experiential tours on Turner’s two properties surrounding the city of Truth or Consequences, the Ladder Ranch and the Armendaris Ranch. Comprising a combined total of 513,000 acres of land, both ranches are home to a variety of wildlife and aquatic species, as well as stunning mountains and desertscapes.

Purchased by Ted Turner in 2013, the Sierra Grande Lodge & Spa is well known for its combination of luxurious accommodations, rustic charm, and relaxing spa and natural hot springs.
